In writing letters and essays, books and pamphlets, the key to getting started is just to start writing. Anything at all!

Later you edit and correct what you have written.

Although speaking is different, what you say is what is heard, a bit of thought then expressing the idea is all that is needed.

Practice. And play with it.

If two hammers fall from a tree, do they race each other to the ground?

We draw conclusions from the minimum evidence quite often.

For today when considering what someone says or means, what an unknown item is used for, try waiting a little longer before deciding what the answer is.

It’ll be an enjoyable exercise.

In the hot desert there was snow atop the mountains.

Was the temperature at the top of the mountains high or low? I don’t know. Do you?

Now, start again.

Is it warm where you are now? Is there bright sun and hardly a cloud in the sky, or is there a thick layer of snow around you.

Sunbathing or skiing? Or if it doesn’t suit – something better.
