Early adopter – could this be a compliment?

If you start using new devices and technology soon after it becomes available, you are considered by some to be an “early adopter”.

If you were unaware of the nature of this term’s current usage, you might wander which children are being talked about.

Soon there will be something new, fresh cucumbers for example….if you buy a cucumber on the first day they are in season, you become an early adopter of  cucumbers perhaps.

This is to remind of the strange effect jargon, catch phrases and vegetables can have!
