Sometimes it’s just the memory of that cool but bright evening in Clichy.

Other times it’s the brave face they put on the news of departure.

All in all, it’s the memory, any one of the many memories, you share and know it’s understood and so well known. Familiar.

Friend or family….it’s a family affair.

There is no doubt that music in the night, well chosen, wins hearts and minds.

The groove makes you move. 

The sound of creation and liberation. 

Performing music in a casual surround, without the regimented structure of rows of seats feels better to performer and receiver. 

But in the end music breaks through any barriers and speaks with a multi-fluent tongue.

It is her acceptable demeanor and good humor that caused the guard to let her through.

She ran the rest of the way.

She got there in time.

In time to save the world and enjoy an espresso at the cafe on the square.

All before breakfast!

The bristles were so soft, so silky, as to give silk threads a run for the money. 

Talking of Run for the Money, we have yet to pay you or you to pay us!

Let us call it even. 

That’s what they said and that is fine by me.

Now you can always get paid well when you see the coast clearly.

Pausing to admire his reflection, he realized the pond was gone. Not gone really, but drained dry.

The ocean nearby provided plenty of water, but it’s ripples, waves and surf did not present the mirror-like surface needed for such admiration.
