The magic principle, the holy grail, the nirvana they were looking for was actually a parking space.

Dining on new paint, the room looked spic and span (clean and new for those who need this translated).

The rythm of percussive paint brushes had people swaying to the brush strokes.

We are all paint now, that’s what they told us – it sounded good even if we had no clue what it meant.

The high-wire act wins.

Gifts for you.

Mixtures of packaging styles from many countries.

The store is unusual, a shop that sells packs of herbs and seasoning from so many countries that you are lucky to find something in a script you read while in high school.

This is a real adventure. The wonder of packages where the contents are more often a mystery, a novelty, pure guesswork.

There is no name brand “recognition”, and most visible contents do not fit the old presumptions.

In this case it is tempting not to ask for help of a store employee, for that would eliminate the surprise and magical discovery of the new and exotic.

Round with a white center and barber-shop-pole red dashes on the outside perimeter.

– Minty.

Green with numbers and a time stamp.

– Happy parking.

Glimpses of a wavy, rippling blue between the tree leaves.

– The ocean beyond.

A flashing red light.

– Stop and decide when it’s a good time to go on.

Green light.

– Thanks, I was waiting for that.

Drying peaches in the sun.

Always good to have a standby – better to have spontaneous simmering and impulsive calm.

Dreadlocks made of rice noodles ands broccoli eggs made of icing decorated the cake.

It was a three napkin affair.

We toasted the symbiotic pressure cookers of the region.

We started a new movement, of people not related to digestive processes  in case you wondered.

One quick tablet, one slice of vegetable parchment and we have a legacy.

Sharing guitar phrases and slicing the dice.

Luck is an essential part of all success stories.

How much of that luck is “made” or created by the lucky one, that’s open to much discussion and interpretation.  We will know one day.

Any story of a venture that takes more than a month form start to full and substantial operation (that’s all of them) that does not mention those bizarre-seeming lucky breaks, encounters or events, is not complete.

You may need research, information, data, strategy, operating principles and know-how.

If you learn the lucky way to find luck…..hey now, you will reach a pinnacle.

And – no. I’m not selling or offering a course on how to nurture luck or become a magnet for it. You can invent your own!
