In faultless synchronicity the wood had been carved into the shape of a scorpion.

The statue was valued by the descendants of all ages and times. 

Sending waves of sheer silk reasoning and harmless prickles of electric excitement, the leaders and the elders and the babes all agreed in one cheerful tide.

Easing into third gear, adding fuel to the fire, bending the boards of learning and discernment, the roads were already travelled and the destination reached long ago. 

A new tale would be told and they all thanked you for it.

Refined to the purity measure of 100 per cent.

That’s all they sold, things that were the best, the purest.

Some wondered how they could possibly sell cheese. The very reason for cheese and the different varieties can often be as a result of “impurities”.

When it came to yeast or yogurt – were the “good” bacteria pure, or was that a product of an impure principle. That’s exactly how the press release addressed the topic.

One thing was certain, the enthusiasm of the founders was beyond belief, but highly contagious in its powerful purity.

Settling.

The foundations were firm.

Two trees provided shade, they had been there for fifty-five years.

Spirit vendors offered people the essence of…people, an illegal thing for sure. 

At the far side of the duct a conversation could be heard by anyone passing by.

The smiling faces of meditating roller bladers were the last image I had of the place as I left, and that’s the one I choose to remember.
