Driving down the Spiral as it was called by local people, they saw the smoke rising from the barbecue.

Vegetables were being grilled, and some other items which vegetarians have asked us not to mention were also taking on the colour of the tarmac road, that led out into the desert. 

Water skiing was popular in the town fountain, the pool around it was an illusory size-warp. To me it seemed to be two steps across, yet it accommodated three speedboats and several water skiers, and provided long stretches of open water.

An amusement park had appeared like a mirage. 

Where were we, and where next would we be!?

If an orange means hello, how many grapefruit does it take to say goodbye?

A pear fell down the stairs, conveniently landing on a large gold plate.

Two oarsmen and women, pulled back and the boat surged forward as if propelled by a huge turbocharged engine.

Later, the plate sat on the end of the pier and the questions had all been answered.

The flow of liquid across the channels increased as requests poured in.

A popular show and competition, the annual Festival of Fast Flowing Follies, was in its tenth year.

People wore their best robes or none at all. A very odd sight.

A ramp was in place to allow the roller-blading-royalty a really fine view and a good head start.

A few misplaced tourists were, well…misplaced. Lost in the wrong place, a city, they had planned a beach vacation and instead were at the best cultural event of the year.

Who would ever ask for their money back when such a provocative, educational mistake as this was made?

We can only guess.
