Slow, silent, unmoving, waiting for the kiss of joy.

The guards made sure the land was filled with the nectar of the possible in the squares, piazas and shady lanes.

Gone were the goons.

Arrived, were the lacy luncheon lovers.

A train, whistled, grated and showed the familiar sign of initial movement.

No timetable, no testimony.

The singing of spring birds.

Until then we were friends.

The moment was marked by a glance that became a lasting smile.

A tear. A nod of approval. A new course for the life river ahead.

It’s how our own moments become the only valuable icons, personal ones.

“Don’t eat the chocolate”, said Turtle in an unmistakably grumpy voice.

“Ok I’ll eat the lamb instead”, said Spirit surprisingly.

“And that’ll do you good” Turtle wavered, good-naturedly.

“After that I’ll be fine” reassured Spirit.

Displaying a confident manner, they broke the speed record, or perhaps it was the speed limit.

Whichever it was, we know it would have been justified by such sane and funny people.

It was their sense of humor which had enabled them to make the right decision in every case.
