Whether it was red or turquoise, that was the question.

Up to you or me if we choose fish or tofu tonight.

Crispy when fried, tender when steamed, we just wanted to be left alone.

For an hour or two.

Then, we wanted raucous funk with a backbeat you can’t beat.

So mentinong this, we’d like to pause for 40% cacao chocolate and a glass of water

What joy it is to discover something new every day!

How could it be possible not to? In other words to wake up, then hours later go to sleep without any sense of awe.

Of course one may not notice the thing seen, realized and added to the melee of ideas kept.

And of course, some of it may be – favourably – an Alice in Wonderland-competing notion or two!

But why the aching forehead, not!

Years ago it hit me.

On course, the route chosen, the well brimming full and cups running over.

Now, on occasions I hate to admit exist, it seems different.

But that, only for a moment.

I’m still the fifteen year old I was.

In other words even when I sound like the opposite, I’m still optimistic with temporary pessimistic rough patches, aberrations and obstacle courses in the way.

Does it take a birthday gift or pleasant outcome of a child’s school test to keep you in the positive place?

We’re back, in case you missed us.

We just came back from walking down the path which follows the stream to the river, and eventually to the ocean.

Now, we sit and listen to the sound of families gathering for a holiday.

Squirrels and other small animals ignore us all.
