The vinegar of the situation.

After years learning from miss Smith we never discovered exactly what her use of the word vinegar meant.

She used it in contexts near and far, sweet and sour…and so on.

The mystery must stay secret.

Otherwise all of us will change our thirteen year old perceptions of her as a person, a teacher and prophet.
