Tired or sleepy, something like that.

And it seemed to be in a relaxed way.

A softness overcame the iron edges and let hard rocks flow as if melted gently.

Scenes were drawn on paper, the reality without cycloramas or one-dimensional frontage painted for depth, was better.

It’s so good when it turns out to be mightier than described.

Some days the last 2 minutes of the journey home seem like a month of Sundays.

But when a year passes and we haven’t spoken to you, we feel it was either yesterday or last century.

Dinner awaits. Food again. Seems ages since we last had shepherd’s pie.

And it may be ages more as tonight it’s sauteed carrot and garlic.

Will there be ice cream?!?

Above the fray.

A small fee – once it was free – and you sit where you want.

We had always thought park benches were open to all and reservations were unnecessary.

Perhaps wires were crossed – an old metaphor from early telephone switchboards and amateur electricians – and we could have sat next to Mr. & Mrs. Jones?

We will not wait for the answer. Anyway, we heard someone say “times change”.
