Welcome to the Third Floor.

You may have guessed…it is the Third Floor Club, a chic and colorful place to converse with friends while mellow lounge jazz wafts and cream puff pastries pile on plates made of Eucratite.

Eucratite is such a wonderful new material. Highly conductive if you want it to be, the perfect insulator if you don’t. It keeps things warm or cool and can look like polished gold or white titanium tinge, on request.

We don’t know how we managed without it. Now we have shoes, suitcases and bracelets as well as plates, pots, pans and folding phones and all manner of gadgets formed from this spectacular substance.

We don’t know where it came from, but it is getting to be seen…everywhere.

It was not milk. The drink was a “white Russian” which used to be popular and, now I’ve mentioned it, it’s going to be pouring out of bars, packed in cans and available on draft at public gatherings.

Fashion ekes out a place in the strangest circumstances. While Rome was burning we were measuring people for ballroom gowns, formal suits and designer hoodies (the latter of course an oxymoron!).

But really, you have to start thinking widely and energetically, however painful it may be.

Relying on others for ideas is like leaving a car on a parking meter without paying and expecting a free ride. Uneven delivery is the result.

What’s your new idea for this actual moment? Now. Right Now. This second!

Started with a gold earring and ended with a streak of dark cloud showing up the sun as it set itself down, low on the horizon.

The group of conversationalists laughed and quoted themselves to sleep.

Umbrellas taut as drum skins, concealed us from the gaze of the moon.

Time was hanging around like an uninvited, yet welcome, guest.

We are all gurus now. Oh wise one. Lift us up by our imagined harmonies!

The clouds had become trapped beneath the sun, they forgot this happens many days a month.

Hillside grass and sharp glistening rocks were warmed and comforted by gentle early morning sun.

People were seen and heard…somewhere.

The buildings were curved and beautiful.

A new architecture.

I see orange and yet we are free!

Tasting the soft chocolate desert reminded me of someone else’s childhood. They always told me they were not allowed chocolate, so of course I presumed they never had that sort of pleasure.

In fact they used to have polenta sponge cake laced with absinthe and a touch of honey and grated almond. Not bad for a child!

I had shoes hand made out of soft suede with veneer and fur linings; great shoes for cold winters in slick city streets. They wore long and at the time fashionable, fur boots.

Sometimes it gets difficult to imagine someone else’s life. When I started traveling to faraway lands, I realized how hard it can be.
